Emergency council house repairs - 0800 844 112
Use this number to contact our housing team (formerly Sandwell Homes) in an emergency outside normal office hours.
You can also report a repair online or call during normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 8am - 5.30pm) on 0121 569 6000.
If you are a council tenant and your problem is with gas or electricity, you may need to contact your supplier. You should find their number on your bill.
Emergency highways issues - 07867 506556
This number is for the following emergencies only outside normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 8am - 5.30pm) :
- A fallen tree (if it is dangerous or blocking the road)
- A dangerous pothole, slab or kerb stone
- A street light, traffic lights, pedestrian crossing lights or illuminated road sign damaged by a vehicle or that is broken, hanging over the road or has wires hanging out
- Damaged rails or bollards in a dangerous condition
- A manhole or drain cover that is missing, or has dropped down, or is sticking up enough to be dangerous to traffic or pedestrians
- Water flooding into a property.

- Dangerous spillages (e.g, oil, fuel or blood)
- A lorry losing its load
- Flooding (on a council road only, not on private property)
- Clear up after a road accident
- Dangerous fly-tipping (e.g, if it is blocking a road)
