UDBS is proud to have helped deliver five new council homes on King Street in Wednesbury, providing much-needed additional housing for families in Sandwell.

Four of the houses have two bedrooms and one of them has three. The new tenants are already moving in.

It is one of the first housing schemes in Sandwell to provide electric vehicle charging.

Homes England part-funded the scheme, while Interclass Plc was our construction contractor. Our client was the Housing Partnerships Team at Sandwell Council: the department with overall responsibility for bringing housing projects forward in Sandwell.

UDBS’ input included feasibility studies, design, procurement, delivery and contract administration.

The houses form part of a wider project to develop a one-acre brownfield site next to Wednesbury Leisure Centre. This development incorporates a new health centre for Wednesbury, called the Richard Nugent Centre. The UDBS team was proud to project-manage its build.
