Learning and development
Sandwell Safeguarding Adults Board offers a wide range of FREE learning and development opportunities.
People who work with adults with care and support needs must know what to do if there is suspected abuse, and how to prevent it. You must also make sure that people's rights are protected and know what to do if there is concern about the person's ability to make decisions.
Sandwell Safeguarding Adults Board organises training on safeguarding adults. This includes legislation updates and current policy. This training is free to people who work with adults at risk that live in Sandwell. Training opportunities are matched against a competency tool which indicates best practice and helps organisations to develop the safeguarding competence of their staff and volunteers. This is available on the Sandwell Safeguarding Adults Board website.
SSAB provide both face to face and e-learning opportunities for free, accessible from any computer when and where you need them. Find out more about free training.
You can also access our See Something, Do Something film online.
