Online procurement opportunities
The council has changed the way in which they advertise their procurement opportunities. Opportunities are advertised on the Intend portal.
We aim to boost the Black Country economy by giving local businesses, social enterprises and the voluntary sector the support and contacts they need to pitch for and win bigger contracts. The Think Sandwell site provides a single gateway for local companies, organisations and their business needs, including advertising council, partner organisation and voluntary sector procurement and networking opportunities.

Supplier Registration & Supplier Portal
We have recently completed the upgrade of our Finance & Procurement systems to Oracle Fusion which has enabled new functionality for both new and existing suppliers to Sandwell.
For new suppliers to Sandwell:
If you’re a brand-new supplier to Sandwell, you will now need to register your details with us using the self-service registration form linked below. We will then review and confirm your details.

For existing suppliers to Sandwell:
At present there are no changes to the way you will do business with the council.
In early 2025 we will be introducing our supplier portal that will enable suppliers to self-serve for the following processes:

Viewing and updating the details that Sandwell holds for your organisation

Giving additional members of your staff access to the portal for your organisation

Submitting invoices via the portal

Viewing the current payment status of your invoices
