There are numerous ways for you to take part in the Knife Angel campaign. Whether as an individual or an organisation, your involvement can make a real difference:

From organising events to making personal pledges for peace, this guide outlines all the ways you can contribute. - Social Media Guide:
Spread the word through your social networks with our Social Media Guide. This guide includes ready-to-use posts, hashtags, and creative challenges, making it easy for you to share the message of peace and unity online. Join the conversation using hashtags like #KnifeAngelSandwell, #MyPeacePledge, and #VoicesForChange. - Attend Events:
Participate in our events, from workshops to vigils, and contribute your ideas for further community action. - Nominate a Local Champion:
Recognise individuals or groups who have made a significant contribution to anti-violence efforts in Sandwell. - Take the Pledge:
Join others in making a personal commitment to choose peace over violence.
Safer Sandwell Partnership Imact Through Imagery Award
We are excited to announce the Safer Sandwell Partnership Impact Through Imagery Award, an initiative aimed at highlighting the power of visual storytelling in the fight against knife crime.
This award will be presented to the photographer whose image creates the strongest impact, portraying how knife crime affects individuals and communities and how, together, we can work towards positive change.

Deadline: 25 October 2024
The winner will receive:
- The Safer Sandwell Partnership Impact Through Imagery Award, which will be presented during the closing Ceremony
- A framed print of their photo, with their image featured on the front cover of Sandwell’s Community Safety Strategy and the Spring Herald.
- The winning photo will also be displayed in public spaces and on JCD digital sites across Sandwell.
All information will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and held only for the purposes of the competition. See our privacy notice for details.
Under 16s will need parental consent to submit their image.
Anti-Knife Crime Design a T-Shirt Competition
Sandwell Youth Service are inviting any young person residing in Sandwell aged 11-19 years (up to 25 years for those with SEND) to take part in an anti knife-crime T-shirt design competition! Participants are encouraged to come to Sandwell Council House and visit the Knife Angel, before taking inspiration to produce your anti-knife crime T-shirt design.
There will be six winning designs selected from the competition, one submitted from each of Sandwell’s towns: Tipton, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, West Bromwich, Oldbury and Wednesbury.
The last date for competition entries to be received is Sunday 20 October 2024. Any entries received after this date will not be considered as part of the competition.
