The Support Plus service is based at Stoney Lane Day Centre. The service provides opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to reach their full potential.
What do we offer?
We povide a variety of accessible activities to support people to learn new skills and have an interesting, enjoyable time while they are with us.
We have specialist equipment such as hoists and changing beds at the centre, and our rooms display pictures of objects of reference for people who communicate non verbally or need visual prompts.
Our support staff levels are 1:3, and individual support is available at key times, such as for personal care and assistance with eating and drinking.
The activities we provide include:
- computer skills
- cookery for people on soft diets
- creative arts and flower arranging
- gardening
- interactive story telling
- keep fit
- photography
- taking part in interview panels
- shopping
- working on our Day Opportunities magazine 'Working Together'
