Alfred Gunn House
Sandwell has appointed Seddons to undertake a full internal and external refurbishment of the high rise block. Due to the nature / scope of the works, tenants have been decanted from the block. The anticipated completion of the refurbishment is Winter 2024. More information on Alfred Gunn House.
Lakes Low Rise Blocks
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has appointed Lovell Partnerships Limited to carry out refurbishment works in Badsey Road, Oldbury on the Lakes Blocks (Derwent House, Windermere House, Coniston House, Ullswater House, Rydale House and the Lion Farm shops). Wallace Close (Darley House and Low Rise)
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has appointed Lovell Partnerships to carry out refurbishment works at Darley House, Alston House, Radnall House, Birchley House, Century House and Selby House in Wallace Close, Oldbury. More information on Wallace Close.
Sprinklers
Sandwell are committed to installing sprinklers to our high-rise blocks where there are major improvement works being undertaken to the high-rise blocks, then sprinklers will be installed as part of these works.
For the remaining high rise blocks, we are currently undertaking a procurement exercise to secure the services of specialists to assist with the delivery of the sprinkler install programme. Once this is established and a programme has been developed the information will be shared and updated on this page.
