Janurary 2025 Update

We held an in-person community workshop at the Oak Tree Centre and invited children from local schools and residents to participate in this interactive workshop. Alongside this an online consultation was running, this attracted over 70 responses, whilst the in-person workshop had 15 attendees from residents. Further workshops were also held with 30 students from Causeway Green Primary and Brandhall Primary School.  We also held a workshop with a youth cohort from the local area at Bleakhouse Library. November 2024 Update

A series of community consutlation days are being held to gather residents insight into the park deisgn.This engagement builds on previous engagement events led by Sandwell Council in July 2023, and is intended to help shape the vision for Brandhall Eco-Park. 

November 2023 Update

Outline planning permission has been approved.

August 2023 Update

At their meeting on 16th November 2022 Cabinet reaffirmed their commitment to deliver a new public park, a replacement school, and circa 190 new homes at Brandhall.

Following the Cabinet decision on 20 July 2022, Sandwell Council's Scrutiny Board confirmed the intention to conduct a call-in on the Cabinet's decision. The Scrutiny Board met on 8 August 2022 to examine the information and process used to formulate Cabinet's decision and to ensure the decision made fully encompasses both the financial impact on the Council and the effects on the communities living in the area. During the Cabinet meeting held on 16 November 2022 Cabinet agreed that in considering the recommendations from the Budget and Corporate Scrutiny Management Board on 8 August 2022, Cabinet take no further action and implement the Cabinet decision as determined on 20 July 2022.
