Summary of services
People are admitted into Penrose under the care of a Consultant Learning Disabilities Psychiatrist, and are looked after by a team of nurses. A multi-disciplinary team of specialist health staff are able to provide a range of assessments and interventions. Specialist psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists are all part of the multidisciplinary team. The team works with people in order to identify and meet their individual treatment needs. The aim is to support people to move back into the community as soon as possible. Individuals are fully involved in planning their care and discharge.
