- The referral process is through a referral form on the Ecaf system, and all referrals go through the Point of Access, which is co-located within the Mash based at the council offices.

- SHIELD offers a range of services such as:A website designed by and for young people offering self-help, information about how to help friends and how to access SHIELD.A brand new on-line game, exclusive to Sandwell's young people, to improve problem-solving skills using CBT principles.Multi agency providers including Krucnh and The Children's Society.A wide range of services available including website, game, telephone/text support, creative therapy group work, workshops, 1:2:1 counselling and individual support packages.A 'voucher' scheme to engage young people to fully participate in their individual plan, empowering them to improve their own health, happiness and safety.Joined up services with Kooth, Base 24 and Krunch.

- Office opening times are Monday to Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Counsellors are available weekdays from 9.30am - 7.30pm and on Saturdays 9am - 2pm.Out of hours there is an answer machine and messages will be answered as soon as possible.
