Who is the service for?
Those eligible for support services can be summarised as people who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces, their dependants and carers. Any man or woman who is currently serving or has served as a Regular, Reserve or Auxiliary member of the Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force and who is aged 16 years or over and has received seven days' pay. 'Dependants' can include children, spouses and partners (this category includes widows or widowers) or other dependant’s. 'Carers' are those who have an ongoing caring responsibility for a beneficiary.

The Legion is the nation's biggest Armed Forces charity providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces past and present and their families. It is the national custodian of Remembrance and safeguards the Military Covenant between the nation and its Armed Forces. It is well known for the annual Poppy Appeal, and its emblem the red poppy.
