Costs
- Application Fee - £100
This applies to all types of property transactions and covers the administration charge for investigating the matter, this is non-refundable and more charges may be involved depending on the type of property enquiry.
- Application to Lease - £750
This payment is non-refundable and will be required if you are successful with your offer of rent following the sealed bid process. This fee will be used towards the Council’s initial legal fees.This fee may be returned if the lease does not proceed purely as a result of reasons beyond your control, but this will be at the Council’s absolute discretion.
- Consent to assign - £900
This payment is non-refundable. This fee may be returned if the property transaction does not proceed purely as a result of reasons beyond your control, but this will be at the Council’s absolute discretion.
- Consent to underlet - £900
This payment is non-refundable. This fee may be returned if the property transaction does not proceed purely as a result of reasons beyond your control, but this will be at the Council’s absolute discretion.
- Licence to alter - £900
This payment is non-refundable.
- Initial cost for Right of Way - £170.
After this initial charge, there will be a yearly cost of £10 or £20 depending on whether the Right of Way is pedestrian or vehicular.
- Advertisement for Loss of Public Open Space - £600
This is a statutory requirement and you can find out more here. Not all transactions require this and you will be notified prior to proceeding. Once advertised, this payment is non-refundable.
- Surveyors fees
These depend on the type of property transaction and you will be advised of the amount before you proceed.
- Legal Fees
These apply to most land transactions and can vary depending on the type of transaction. You will be informed of the fees before proceeding.
