Licensing Act 2003 application to review a current premises licence

An application for a summary review has been made by a senior police officer of West Midlands Police, in their opinion the premises are associated with serious crime and serious disorder or both.
The holder of the Premises Licence, other persons and Responsible Authorities may make representations in respect of the review to the Licensing Authority between the 16 January 2025 and 28 January 2025.

The application for review is being made by Trading Standards at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
Trading Standards conducted an inspection where cigarettes, niche tobacco products, nicotine inhaling products and misdescribed alcohol that fail to comply with UK legislation were found on the premises. On a Test Purchase the sale of an age restricted item to a person under 18 was made.
Trading Standards have commented that the Premises undermines the following licensing objective:
- The prevention of crime and disorder
- The protection of Children from harm
The holder of the Premises Licence, Interested Parties and Responsible Authorities may make representations to the Licensing Authority between the 8th January 2025 to 4th February 2025
