Sandwell Council is celebrating the launch of the video of the annual SHAPE Your Talent Final which was held earlier this year at Sandwell College.
It was an amazing evening full of fantastic performances from eight finalists competing to win a prize cheque of £500! The eight finalists were split in to two age categories; 8 – 13 Years Children’s and 14 – 19 Years Youth.
Over 120 guests, including councillors and council officers, joined us to watch the talented individuals perform.
Every finalist performed incredibly well and the judges had a very hard job to decide the winners.
At the end of the show, the winners were announced as: Shenelle & K’Zino! And much to the judges surprise, the pair turned out to be brother and sister.
We also welcomed a number of guest performers to the stage including the winners of SHAPE Your Talent 2022, one of our judges, Kimberley Maynard and Bhangra Smash Up.
Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, Councillor Simon Hackett, said:
“SHAPE Your Talent 2023 really showcased the breadth and width of talent that Sandwell’s young people have. Opportunities such as this mean that they are able to build confidence in their own abilities, something that will be a true lifelong skill for them as they grow older.”
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved with the planning and organising of SHAPE Your Talent 2023, and of course all of the amazing acts who showcased their talents!
