Six weeks of school holidays can be a daunting prospect for parents and carers – Sandwell Museums are here to help!

At Wednesbury Museum you can travel through the ages, meet the Vikings and Saxons, make medieval floor tiles, and celebrate our Victorian museum.

While at Oak House, West Bromwich, you can get your hands dirty with archaeology week.

At Bromwich Hall, West Bromwich, celebrate nature in our grounds and enjoy some fantastic hands-on fun with decorating pots.

At Haden Hill House, Cradley Heath, use our house and grounds for inspiration to create sculptures and some arty creations.

Across our sites there will also be games and activities with Go Play Sandwell, plus crafty fun, active and sporty activities, relaxing family yoga and lots more. There are also exhibitions and displays and regular activities and community groups to enjoy.

Councillor Suzanne Hartwell, Sandwell Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Community, said:

“We have some fantastic museums sites across Sandwell. They are fascinating places to visit, to enjoy fun days out and to explore the history of these historic buildings.

“Over the summer holidays our museums are hosting lots of fun activities, providing creative experiences to help keep children entertained and learn a thing or two along the way.”

Entrance to our museums is free but there may be a small charge for some activities.

Booking may be required for some activities.
