Following completion of the new cycle route on Smethwick Tollhouse Way/Soho Way, Sandwell Council and Sustrans are organising a free, guided ride to showcase the route.
We would love to have you join us on the new segregated cyclepath.
The 3-5 mile ride round trip event will start from Galton Bridge Rail Station, Oldbury Road, Smethwick, Sandwell, B66 1HU at midday on Friday 27 September and will be led by British Cycling. All abilities are welcome
In addition, the Dr Bike will be in attendance for a drop-in service. The service includes :
• Security marking
• Small repairs
• 7 free D-locks
• Bike safety check
• Expert advice
Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Infrastructure, Councillor Peter Hughes, said:
“This is an excellent opportunity to explore this new route. I would encourage keen cyclists, families and even those who might not have been on a bike for a while to come down, try out the route with experienced guides and get repairs and advice from Dr Bike.”
