There’s still time for people to have their say on improvements proposed to public areas as part of regeneration plans for Tipton town centre.

These include creating greener spaces and new public spaces and walkways, as well as safety improvements.

People can have their say on plans set to benefit the whole town centre, including Owen Street, the precinct, Union Street and the former Tipton Green Branch Canal walkway.

Find out more and have your say online via the Consultation Hub. The deadline for comments is Friday 21 March 2025.

The Tipton regeneration project is supported by government funding and will deliver new affordable housing in the town centre as well as improvements to public areas.

Councillor Peter Hughes, Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Infrastructure, said: “We’re proposing a number of improvements to public spaces in Tipton town centre which will encourage more people to visit and shop in the town and fully complement the new homes planned.

“We thank everyone who attended our in-person consultation sessions in February and encourage anyone who hasn’t had their say yet to look at our proposals and complete the online survey.”
