1. What is an in-year appeal?
An in-year appeal is where you want your child to move school during the academic year for example:
- Because of a house move
- Being new to Sandwell
- There are issues with the current school
- Because of personal circumstances
These appeals have no closing date and appeals are heard throughout the academic year.
2. Why has my child been refused a place?
Your child has not been offered admission because at the time of your application the year group at the school was full.
3. Is there a waiting list?
School Admissions do not keep waiting lists; however, some schools choose to operate their own waiting list. To find out if the school you are interested in has a waiting list, please contact the school directly.
4. When will my appeal be heard?
Your appeal will be heard within 30 school days of a valid appeal being received, this excludes weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
