- have a passion for teaching and learning and a willingness to undertake further training as required have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Framework and the National Curriculum
- demonstrate an ability to effectively liaise with pupils, colleagues, parents, and outside agencies
- demonstrate an ability to lead, review, develop and implement policy change as a member of our senior leadership team
- be approachable with excellent communication skills
- have the confidence to lead on staff training and professional development
- have developed exceptional practice through their ethos and their current practice
- have experience of leading a subject or phase and have up to date knowledge of this area
- have a good understanding of the use of tracking, assessment, monitoring and data analysis as an effective tool to accelerate progress and raise achievement
- be keen to learn and develop their skills as a school leader
Main areas of responsibility will include:
- leading the phase to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- a 0.4 teaching commitment with dedicated leadership time
- supporting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher with data analysis and pupil tracking
- other key areas to be agreed upon appointment
- supporting staff with teaching and learning
