We will at various times require access to your property, for example to inspect a repair or service your gas/electrical appliances.
Section 8 of your tenancy conditions states that you must allow us access to your property at any time between 8am and 8pm for routine repairs and at any time in an emergency. We will give prior notice where possible.
Access also includes moving furniture and lifting floor coverings (e.g. carpets and laminates) yourself to allow repairs and inspections to be undertaken.
Floor coverings are your responsibility; if they do have to be lifted to carry out a repair Sandwell Council cannot be held responsible. You are responsible for making sure furniture and floor coverings are moved out of the way, ready for work to be undertaken.
