Applications now open for UKSPF People and Skills VCS Grant
Sandwell MBC is inviting local Voluntary and Community (not for profit) organisations and consortia to apply for a grant from £20,000 up to £200,000.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF or the Fund) is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. It provided £2.6 billion of new funding for local investment up to March 2025. The UK government’s Autumn Budget announced a further £900 million of funding for local investment by March 2026.
As part of the People and Skills Pillar, Sandwell Council has announced a commissioning opportunity for Voluntary and Community Sector organisations to support Sandwell residents. The aims of the funding are to:
- Reduce levels of economic inactivity through investment in bespoke life and employment support tailored to local need, using one-to-one keyworker support
- Engage disadvantaged groups such as those aged over 50, people with disability & health conditions, women, people from an ethnic minority and NEET’s with complex needs
- Support people furthest from the labour market to overcome barriers to work by providing cohesive, locally tailored support including access to basic skills.
The project will be delivered between 1st May 2025 – 31st March 2026.
The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Thursday 24th April 2025
