Working in care

Our care work provides person-centred care and support to adults to ensure that they live as independently las possible in the community. Our staff will engage with service users and build trusting, therapeutic relationships whilst working with them in their own homes or in a care home setting.

As part of a structured approach, our care workers provide personal care and practical and emotional support in line with the service users personalised care plan. They work closely with families, other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated service that meets people's needs.

We have opportunities available in our various care home settings, including:

  • in our extra care settings
  • within Harvest View, our new specialist centre that supports people build independence after a hospital stay or avoid hospital admittance altogether
  • and within our home support services via the STAR team.

These services provide integral support to people living in Sandwell, and make a real difference to people's daily lives.

We offer on the job training, so if you are looking for an entry level position or want to switch your career path we can support you throughout.
